The Brighter Better Orrell constitution is the set of principles and rules by which the group is organised, contained in one document.

The Brighter Better Orrell Community Group abides by the duty of care to safeguard and promote the welfare of children, young people and adults at risk and is committed to safeguarding practice that reflects statutory responsibilities, government guidance and complies with best practice requirements and is in line with Wigan Council’s multiagency Safeguarding Procedures 

Brighter Better Orrell is run entirely by volunteers, and as such, volunteering, as a principle, is central to our mission. We recognise that volunteers make an essential contribution to our work, helping us to achieve our core aims and objectives. At the same time, we are committed to making volunteering with Brighter Better Orrell worthwhile and enjoyable, so that members who volunteer feel valued and involved. 

The policy of Brighter Better Orrell is to provide and maintain safe and healthy working conditions and environment for all our volunteers and users, plus any other people who are directly affected by our activities, such as members of the public at our events.
